Dora Irene Bus is a Hungarian photographer, Globetrotter, astrology consultant and creative artist.
Born in 1979, in a hungarian little town, Tiszakecske and she initially studied English Literature, Psychology and Pedagogy at the Szeged University.
Now she is working on her final Diploma at the London based Mercury Internet School of Psychological Astrology (MISPA).
In the last 2 decades, after living already in more than 6 countries, cities like New York, London, Zurich, Nuremberg, today she refers to herself as a „world citizen” and become a natural storyteller who invites others to embark on their own journey of self-transformations as well.
She is known for her unique photographs of everyday people being presented in animal paper masks also created by her.
Her artistic career with origami style papermasks took off when she was finally able to move to „her dream country”, Italy in 2019. There she invented her own artistic photography style, combining her psychological and astrological studies with her love of italian culture with its friendly citizens, versatile architectures and beautiful environments.
Today she is a local resident in Varese city where she lives happily with her long time best friend, her husband who she met nearly 25 years ago and they have been inseperable ever since.
She is now solidifying her reputation as an „astro portraitist”. Her work is known for its bold colors, handmade 3D paper masks, and the ability to capture the essence of her subjects and its beautiful surroundings in a tale like story.
Photography Vision
Her goal is to create an intimate and personal atmosphere with her models, and her portraiture focuses on capturing the true character and spirit of the subject and their natural unique surroundings,
without revealing the models' true personal identities.
The artistic expression of her narrative style goes beyond the subjective aesthetics of the human body and superficial judgments and perception of modern society.
3D papermasks
Her images seek to invite viewers to awaken their curiosity and explore the seemingly mysterious yet compelling individuals and their stories hidden behind those unique papermasks.
The 3D papermasks, carefully handcrafted by her, not only add structure and solidity, but become the main focus of her artistic photographic images,
while also aim to strictly respect the privacy of the models, hence she is creating spontaneous moments that wish to reveal a broader personal story that ultimately unfolds.
Astro-Photo Sessions
Providing others with personal sessions of insightful consultations in self-exploration along with her personal „astroportrait” photoshoots is her own service of healing method for her clients who also wish to be liberated from their many societal masks that one tends to wear, often in a whole lifetime.
Her charismatic personality and unique approach in her professional work
supports others to seek profound self-knowledge hence re-gained inner power, for one to be able to break free from the heavy chains of outdated social "norms" being forced onto us.
Her life philosophy
She believes that finding our meaningful purposes in life are not always that simple for most of us without true self-exploration and turning within first is a must for any human and should be taught as early as possible, during our educational years.
True values of a human soul, just as a person’s authentic beauty indeed lies within the deep layers of our inner hidden psyche or even in the unconscious that is invisible on surface level to the eyes of any beholder.
Hence she emphasizes that every soul carries their unique story waiting to not only be told, but to be understood more deeply, and being accepted...
